I am selling my 1996 Dodge Viper RT/10 that is extremely rare, 1 of 1, overall original, well documented Viper that no one else will have. The car is in excellent condition with nearly flawless paint and interior. In 1996 the Viper RT/10 was only offered in white, black or red. What makes this car unique is that the original owner worked with the Viper team to come up with a Viper that was different from the rest. So the original owner and the Viper team set up for when this car was purchased, January 13th, 1996, to be sent out to be painted the color it is now to make it a one off and extremely rare Viper. This unique color is best described as a dark gray influenced black with very subtle undertones of light grey and purple. Also, when the car was purchased a new steering wheel, shifter handle, and parking brake handle where changed from blue to black. I have the original sales contract, window sticker, and paper work to show this. Also, the original owner purchase an extend warranty that covered the car for 84 months and up to 100,000 miles, to ensure the car would be will taken care of.
The car comes with: the original window sticker, purchase contract and documents, owner"s manual, service manual, lots of documents from over the years to show the maintenance that has been done, the factory hard top, factory soft top and window inserts, leather carrying bags for the soft top and window inserts, a car cover, leather tonneau cover that covers the driver side and/or passenger side seats and dash, and miscellaneous things.
I recently installed a new serpentine belt, and front brakes on the car. For California buyers, the car just past smog with no problems whatsoever. I also just redid the headliner on the hard top with new foam backed material that matches the original, due to the original headliner starting to sag.
Back in when the car was purchased new, Precision Car stereo did an upgraded stereo system, installed a GPS system, and installed a radar detector custom built and hidden throughout the car. At the time is was $10,000 job and I have the receipts to show everything.
The car is in overall amazing shape. The car runs and drives great with no leaks, grinds or sputters. The paint is in outstanding shape with no scratches or anything noticeable at all. The interior is equally in great shape with the leather showing little to no signs of wear.
The drivetrain, exhaust, and suspension are pretty much stock besides performance springs that Dinan Engineering installed. 1996 RT/10s Vipers have more horsepower and are lighter than 92-95 Vipers. There were only 721 RT/10s produced for this year.
The car came with the factory AC and hardtop options and are still on the car today.
The car was purchased at Les Vogel Dodge in Burlingame CA and has always lived in California. I am only selling the car because I don"t drive it as much as it should. I have a 2 year old daughter who I dedicate all my spare time too. Also, I"ve already purchase another sports car that I can actually fit a car seat in.
