Vehicle description
Very nice 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon that has been upgraded and maintained. I got this car out of California 5 years ago with 103K miles. I rebuilt the front suspension, brakes, ball joints, steering box, sway bars, rear suspension, brakes, springs, air bags in springs, bushings, sway bar, In the last 5K miles I have replaced the tires, battery, and installed Bilstein shocks, considered the best for these wagons. The seats were replaced with a set that came from a wrecked 16K mile car so they are almost new. The wood grain vinyl has been replaced professionally with 3M exterior vinyl and I extended the birds eye maple up the door frames to make it look older. Also new exterior door handles. Looks great pulling a classic wood boat or a canned ham trailer. The car has a factory tow package rated for 5000 lbs or 7000 with equalizer hitch. I have pulled my antique boat to a few shows with it. The car was my daily driver for 4 years putting 60K miles on it. The engine and tranny are original and run and shift like new, no leaks, no smoke, no engine lights, no strange noises. A/C is the best of any car even with all that glass. I took it on a 7 day 3000 mile camping trip last year and I would go anywhere in it now. New blue tooth stereo installed. The travel stickers are vinyl and can be removed. Everything works, windows move freely, all power seats, lights, has passed safety and smog inspections. These cars are unbelievably fast for such a big car, rides like your Lazy Boy. Interior door panels intact and secure. Paint is still shiny with no rust underneath. Carpet in tact, no rips with floor mats, headliner in great condition. It is a road burner at 90 MPH.
Nit picking: windshield washer is balky, slight crack in passenger side dash, ding on right front wood trim(shown in pics), quarter size paint chip on hood but not dented, dime size spot near moonroof. Otherwise a fantastic 20 year old car, the last year they were made and they are increasing in value. On Feb-15-17 at 15:40:17 PST, seller added the following information: I took it for a fast drive today and I remembered the exhaust is slightly louder than stock, I didn"t know it until I bought a 1994 with stock mufflers and you could not hear a thing. This gives a muted V8 sound, love driving with windows down. I think exhaust is all stock except mufflers, glass packs maybe?
Also remembered the antenna got caught in car wash, so I dont use it, usually use my iphone on the blue tooth for tunes.
