Up for sale is my 1995 Mercedes E320 wagon with a clean California title and a clean carfax. I bought this car last year with the plan to keep it for years to haul the fam around in, but life changed. I took care of a list of preventative items when I bought it to make it a reliable daily driver, that list is below. Receipts for all parts or work will be included with the car. New Michelin tires with less than 5,000 miles on them Updated engine wiring harness Replaced lower SLS hose, replaced suspension hydraulic fluid and bled and tested the system, fully operable New front sway bar bushings New oil pressure switch Three new fuel lines, fourth was new and had been replaced by a prior owner New fuel filter New shift linkage bushings New Behr radiator and new OEM Mercedes upper and lower radiator hoses, and water pump hose New expansion tank and cap, plus hose from expansion tank to lower radiator. New Mercedes thermostat and o-ring Fresh Mercedes blue coolant Mercedes timing chain cover gasket and o-rings (last picture is of the properly installed timing chain cover gasket that doesn"t leak anymore) Mercedes valve cover gasket set with new grommets and breathers, powdercoated valve cover Silver New spark plugs New Mercedes oil filler cap New crank seal to fix oil leak New tensioner bearing, bracket and serpentine belt New LR window regulator Rebuilt third brake light housing Replaced both rear hatch shocks Pioneer bluetooth stereo for hands free phone calls.
While I did prepare the car to be a solid and reliable daily driver it does have some flaws that I chose not to address because they didn"t impact reliability, listed below:
Fixed most oil leaks but one small leak remains, drips are seldom. Transmission leaks a little, I never repaired this but I check the fluid level regularly have not needed to top it off, plus the fluid is red & clean. Passenger side door lock works normally, but won"t lock/unlock from outside with key, driver side works normally. Noisy smog pump on startup, quiets down after a minute or two and the engine then runs smooth and quiet, passes CA smog Both rear side windows have a small amount of rust on the inside at the bottom only visible on the inside under the weather seal, no signs of a leak otherwise
