If you are reading this, you probably know that the W124 series E320 Mercedes are the last of the designs from the "old school" German engineers. Unlike more recent models, it is conservatively built, spec"d for hundreds of thousands of miles, and made for straightforward service. Open the hood, and you can see and touch every major component. There are no $500 batteries custom shaped to fit into an odd spot. All very clean design and very solid. 1995 was the very last year for the W124, but even then Mercedes was still innovating. My mechanic tells me that year is unique with a stronger roof structure, new throttle linkage, new ECU, new traction control system, new transmission design, and so on. This is the ultimate year of the ultimate classic Mercedes. This "95 is lovely, well optioned, and original with the exception of a new Sony bluetooth radio (I do not know if the wiring harness was modified or if adapters were used). No rust, no dents. Very nice paint, very nice leather upholstery, etc. The tires are Michelins in great shape. Power steering, power windows, heated power front seats, power sunroof, telescoping steering wheel, automatic climate control, sport seats, heated power mirrors, torquey DOHC inline six engine, traction control, all of the features you would expect. Only 74,200 miles from new as I write this, although this may go up slightly as I do not believe cars should just sit. All maintenance is current. New MB water pump, thermostat, pulley, and serpentine belt this week ($1,650). Last year my mechanics (Rex at Autowerkes of Sarasota, 941-955-6800) installed a new engine wiring harness and a full service (cabin air filters, battery, transmission flush, etc.). I like my cars to always be their best. Insofar as I know everything is working. The car drives beautifully. Do keep in mind that this is not a new car; it is sold as is, and it"s possible that I"ve overlooked something. I"ll do my best to answer any questions accurately. Expect some signs of age and wear. Having said that, I do not think you will be disappointed in this car. Look at all of the photos, they are part of the description. Title is clear and in my hand.
