“Very good condition for its age, original paint thin in areas, some pixilation issues on information display, passenger seat needs adjustment cable to cure common issue of seat twist. Interior very good, no dash cracks, seats and carpet very good. Had headliner cover over sunroof replaced, and not exact match, but close. Sunroof works but timing now seems to be off. Tires have @ 5K. Engine & trans are great, no issues. Cruise control stopped working a year or so back, and air doesn't blow from front passenger vent. Suspect diverter door stuck. AC & heat works great otherwise, blows strong from driver side, and both sides windscreen & floor vents. Recent valley pan replacement. Aftermarket Kenwood blutooth stereo via adapter, so wiring harness not hacked. Includes original stereo & cd changer.” |

Vehicle description
Very good condition for the model. I purchased this 8 series in 2010 to use as my fun daily driver. Logged @ 10k per year on the odometer. Original paint except for some areas where the clear was beginning to turn, mirrors, and rear bumper cover. I also had the trunk lid painted because of a poor scratch repair from a previous owner. Common problems with 8 series affecting mine is the pixel issue with the information display, which comes & goes, and the passenger seat has "seat twist" when it is adjusted, caused by a broken control cable under the seat. Easy fix, don"t know why I haven"t replaced it. The cruise control stopped engaging some time back, have not had time to de-bug that issue either. The window tint on driver"s window is wrinkled & will need to be replaced, but the rest of the windows seems fine. The wheel center caps are toasty. The silver replacements are not expensive, but I"ve been trying to find the bright chrome-like replacements to match the wheels, which are plated, not the normal aluminum look most have. Trying to share all issues. . The good part is it run & drives great, with zero wheel shimmy (another 8 series issue). A previous owner installed a new ecu with a Turner Motorsport chip, which gives the M60 @ 19 more hp and a boost in torque. Rumor has it that it removes the 155 MPH limiter as well. . Gets pretty good mileage, 20+ mpg if I"m traveling, less around town. Uses no oil between changes, which is always 3000 to 4000 mi w/ mobil 1. The original ecu, 4 keys, and lots of service records will be included, along with the original stereo head unit and cd changer. Also have a good copy of the handbook.
