Vehicle description
Up for sale is my 1995 Acura legend LS model coupe. this is the last year acura made this ports coupe and it is LOADED! the sticker on this car was over 40k back in 95. I am an acura enthusiast and I also have a 2003 CL type S sports coupe that stickered at 31,500 in 2003. the 95 actually has MORE features. I bought this a year ago with intent of fixing whatever it needed.and having as my secondary vehicle. I have recently purchased the CL and this now has to go
The Good: All of the features function as they should. the power locks, windows, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power moonroof, vacuum closing doors, power seats, EVERYTHING works. the tires are in good shape with over 50% tread remaining. When I bought it, I drove it almost 200 miles to get it home and it was overheating a little when I was stuck in traffic, so I took it to my mechanic and he replaced the water pump and the timing ($600). Also it had a leak in the rack and pinion, so I replaced that as well ($800).
The Bad: The mechanic also told me there was a small oil leak on the top end of the engine. He felt that because the car is so old and i wasnt going to be driving it long distances, it was more trouble than it"s worth. My intent was to do an engine swap as these engines are readily available on import from Japan with about 50,000 to 60,000 miles on them for about $800. I have even found engine and transmission packages for around $1200. The interior is in "good" condition but I was planning on getting custom seat covers ($400). There is a dent/scratch about 2 inches around on the hood along with other less noticable scratches, etc. to be expected for a 22 year old car, but the one on the hood is ugly (see pic). The car has been sitting since last fall and I would not suggest driving it a long distance. One of the rear speakers sounds blown, so I have gotten a new one from bose but haven"t put it in.
This is a beautifully designed coupe that with a little tlc could be brought back to its glory. I have seen these on craigslist and ebay in great shape selling for upwards of $10,000. You could drive it as is or finish fixing it up, I don"t have time to finish the project. Serious bidders only. Zero feedback contact me first or bid will be cancelled. Sorry, but too many dead beat biddrrs on here. Good luck bidding
