Nice daily driver. Coolest car in town, people walk up to me to take pictures. Looks fabulous. Especially with all the windows down, so great. Original California car.
Has been taken care of very well, I owned it for a 6 months but moving to NY and don"t need a car there.
Had the following done to it:
- Transmission redone
- New radiator / coolant
- New idler arm
- New rear bearings
- Cabin air filter replaced/cleaned
- Engine mount(s) replaced
- Fluids checked and replaced
You can see on Carfax it"s a good car. Spend about 5K on it in 6 months just to make sure it drives properly. Couple things need to be checked out: - AC stopped blowing cold, compressor is fine, but common problem on 8 series is that the snowflake won"t stop blowing cold air. So probably needs a refill. - Wheels need rebalancing, some vibration at 55mphs. Easy and cheap to fix.
It looks great but paint job does have a couple chips and since it got resprayed (by professionals) it shows. But I am talking minor things. Also interior might need a good clean and the driver seat has a small hole in the leather. It"s got around 163K on the clock and 23 years old so don"t expect a new car. It"s a classic.
Again great lovely car, just a classic! Car still looks so unique! Tinted windows.
