Vehicle description
You already know that you"re looking at a special car. Yes, the W124 series 500E was hand built in the Porsche factory. Yes, these cars are historically significant and becoming increasingly hard to find in good condition. And yes, this car hails from the pre-merger era of MB history, when AMG was a legitimate independent tuning house.
Although the 500E came with a powerful 5.0 liter V8, AMG stroked these motors out to 6.0 liters for a limited number of E60 models, as well as aftermarket conversions.
Last year we found a collector in Germany who had in the back of his warehouse a New Old Stock AMG 6.0 Liter motor still sitting in it"s original crate. After arranging purchase of this motor, it was shipped across the pond to Blueridge MB in Lilburn, Georgia, where is underwent it"s heart transplant.
The result is a stunning mid-sized, powerful Merc that oozes the style and confidence of an early 90s Yakuza boss. If you"re looking for your grandfather"s boring, classic Mercedes, this is not the car for you.
While the motor was being replaced, a significant amount of work was done to maintain and upgrade the rest of the vehicle. These include:
RDM Tech Adjustable Camber Towers (front strut mounts)
AMG OZ 3 Piece Replica Wheels
- 8.5 x 17 et 18 front
- 10.0 x 17 et 17 rear
Ceramic Coated Manifolds
New Coolant Reservoir
Pre Facelift Hood
Pre Facelift Grille
New Engine Mounts
New Hood Pad
AMG Shift Knob
New Power Steering Hoses and Insulation
Repaint Lower Cladding along with paint correction throughout body
Speedometer Cleaning
Rear Bumper Block Off Plates
New SLS Valve
Powder Coated rear calipers
New Front Fender Well Panel
New Steering Damper, Drag Link, and Tie Rod
New Strut Bump Stops
New Radiator Hoses
New Valve Cover Gaskets
New Metal Oiler Tubes
New Rear LCA Bushings
New Intake Tubes
In addition, the following work was previously done:
Replace Upper and Lower Engine Wiring Harnesses
Complete New Stereo System with all new wiring, amps, and speakers New Alcantara Headliner New Leather Steering Wheel
This car is for sale via multiple other platforms. Seller reserves the right to end the auction early at any time.
