Vehicle description
I bought as a practice car and don’t use it as I had expected 1993 1.6L Miata in great condition; no rust; clean inside and out. This car formerly competed in SCCA Spec Miata and frequently finished Top-5 even while competing against 1.8L engine cars. For the past 3 years, it’s only been used for occasional track days, and always stored in garage or enclosed trailer.
This car is literally ready right now for track days or racing. Since I’ve owned it, I’ve never once had a problem at the track. Never any contact. Miatas are popular for a reason—easy to maintain, always reliable, and fun to drive. Maintenance has been done through a combination of professional race mechanics and my own wrenching, and I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
The car has electrical kill switch, window net, center net, wired for coolshirt system, new battery in 2019, new competition motor mounts, wheel bearings, and APR studs installed in front hubs in 2019, professionally set up and aligned in 2019 with only 4 track days since then.
Spares: The car comes with 3 sets of wheels. One set (white) include like-new Hoosier H2Os while the other 8 wheels (black) have Toyo R888Rs with several more days left. I only ran the H20s for 1 day so they literally are like new.
The car has 2 seats (Sparco halo on driver"s side). Schroth 6-pt belts for the driver and OMP 6-pt belts for the passenger.
There is minor cosmetic damage—a minor dent on the driver’s side that was there when I bought it, and a decent scratch on the right front quarter panel from a guy backing his trailer into the car while parked in the paddock. Otherwise, the car looks sharp with black paint, red cage, and shiny red top, and is free from rust or any other significant blemishes (inside and out).
