Rare find, 1993 flarside 5.8L updated manual HUB 4x4 new A/T tires Im gonna be straight honest, this is my dream truck and I bought it in hopes of turning it into a show truck, but i have a wife and we all know how this story ends. THE GOOD New tires strong engine and Transmission 4x4 works like a beast interior is not bad for 24 year old truck, rip in the dash above radio, look at the pics drives like a truck, which means she drives good No check engine light New Battery
The bad Previous owner had a accident ( look at pics) some body shop ppl tell me to just replace the bed and fix the cab corner and others say it can be repaired, either way it will cost about the same, The passenger door was not damaged but the locking mechanism needs repair, the door opens perfect but when you close the door the latch gets jamb and you have to manually release the hatch, (Simple Fix) I let someone borrow the truck during the snow storm and the engaged 4x4 wrong and broke the right front axle, dont worry it didn"t snapped , this truck has a dual differential driver side and passenger side and the passenger side will need to be replace before you use 4x4, doesn"t affect the driving in 2x2, every once in a while there is a vibration from the differential. Truck still drives straight and smooth , Junk yard 150-200 dollars labor about 3-4 hours repair. Last but not least the gasket around the transmission needs to be replaced, notice a little puddle underneath the truck one day, took it down to my local tranny shop and that was the diagnostic, new gasket. The truck isnt perfect but she runs great and can be such a beauty with proper care, I dont wanna giver her up but my wife wants a bigger house so no more toys.
