$5,000 firm + ebay fee of $150 You Tube CefoUxBGH5A
I am selling my 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. My grandmother bought it brand new. I have had it for the last year and a half.
First lets cover the price and terms. You are such a good negotiator that your first question is “Will you take less?” Yes, I will take $5,000 cash. Not a penny less. Great job. We can do the transaction at your bank or mine (CEFCU), or in my garage (I am not scared).
Grandma always kept the car in a heated garage. I do the same. She always had a pickup truck too and that is what she drove when the streets were a mess. That is probably why this 25 year old classic has no rust on the body.
It was a little tired when I got it. I put new tires on it. They are the correct size and the whitewalls are ¾” like the car was originally equipped. The alignment checked perfect at that time so I assume the ball joints, bearings and tie rods are in good shape.
I replaced the belt, tensioner and idler pulley and flushed the coolant system. I did a complete ignition tune-up including plugs, wires, cap, rotor and even the ignition control module. The throttle position sensor checked low on voltage so I replaced that too. I changed the air filter and muffler. The blower motor did not work on all speeds so I installed a new blower motor resistor pack.
Now the car is very reliable. I have driven it to Indy twice and Chicago. The Celtics won all three of those games so maybe the Blues Mobile is a good luck charm.
There are a few dings, dents and scratches. I tried to show them in the pictures. But the car cleans and shines up nice.
The power antennae does not go up and down on its own. I just pull it up and push it down. The heated seats don’t heat. I have not looked into why. There are no rips or tears in the seats. The level ride and air shocks still work. Everything else works fine. Some of the paint on the trim at the back of the vinyl top has worn off (pretty normal). The wiper arms had lost most of their paint too so I replaced them with new ones. The wheels are in great shape. You can see a few marks from previous balance weights but there are no brake dust stains. The spare is mounted on a matching wheel just in case you curb check one. The chrome strip down the side has bubbled but is not peeling. I bought a 94 in 96 and it was already doing this then. The chrome around the rear taillights is pitted a little. The car has never been smoked in. As I write this it has 122,131 miles on it. That will go up a little as I drive it on nice days.
I have created and uploaded a video to my YouTube channel. Search for CefoUxBGH5A or go to www dot cars suck dot com.
No you can’t drive it until you buy it. If the roads are nice I will give you a ride. I have tried to tell you everything I know about this car. So when you have $5,000 ready, text, call or e-mail to come see it, verify and drive it home. You will need to show me an ID and sign a bill of sale.
