I have fourteen Allantes and selling some to pay for two upcoming weddings, plus with my age and health it is hard to get into them and do any work on them.
1993 was the last year of the Cadillac Allante, and to me it was the best year. A very powerful Northstar engine (not to be confused with the problematic Northstars from later years), redesigned body to stiffen the chassis and a new brake system. The 1993 Allante was selected to be the Pace Car for the 1992 Indy 500 and 36 93 models were sent to the track (though this is not one of them, I do own one that was!). This car has been completely gone through by my mechanic and any drive-ability problems have been corrected. The top rear pulldown works when it wants. The passenger sunvisor mirror frame is damaged-as they are on most of these cars, but reproductions are available. There are no burned pixels in the DIC (dash info center). Top front pulldowns, window switches, trunk pull down all work and the antenna goes almost all the way down-they are often problems as well. Body and paint are very good, as is the entire interior-the Pearl White paint is beautiful! This car came from Florida so no new England weather. Please feel free to come and check it out and take it for a ride as it is insured/registered in my name.
