The Defender 90 will be sold with a clear Virginia title and all customs clearance documents for buyer"s records. Color is the highly desirable Arles Blue, no dents, repainted last year. Everything works, rear crossmember was replaced with a heavy duty one at time of repaint. The Defender is in great condition overall. It has 139187 miles or 224000 kilometers. It quickly starts on the first turn from cold, sounds and runs great, shifts smoothly through all gears. This is the model with sunroof.
Has 4 Cooper Discoverer 235 85 16s A/T 3s in very good condition with plenty of remaining tread life . The spare is a General Grabber AT 235 85 16 with full tread so it is the same size.
Chassis is all solid with a new heavy duty rear crossmember. No rust anywhere, door bottoms and footwells are good, solid and undercoated. The body is straight with no dents or dings, the paint is nice and glossy. It looks great and is a clean vehicle but not perfect as it is 29 years old so please expect normal age related wear and tear.
All fluids have been changed. New oil, fuel, air filters. Engine, gear, transfer case as well as both differential oils have been changed. This Defender has not been restored so it"s not perfect, please have realistic expectations.
Being an older diesel, it does have a little smoke from exhaust when cold but clears when warm. All diesel engines have some "blowby". I have included a video of this one with the oil filler cap removed in the video title "Engine", there is some blowby but not excessive by any means.
Parts recently replaced are as follows:
New HD rear crossmember.
New Terrafirma 30mm wheel spacers.
4 used but nice genuine Land Rover Freestyle rims with 4 Cooper "A/T 3" 235 85 16 tires in very good condition with plenty of remaining tread.
Headlamps have LED bulbs so they are nice and bright.
Front and rear light guards.
New steering wheel.
Driver"s seat retrimmed with new foam and covers.
2 new rear bench seats in grey.
New brake master cylinder.
New fuel lift pump.
New swivel seal kits installed on both front swivels.
New turbo to air filter hose.
New cyclone breather filter.
New fuel filler cap.
New TD 5 style headlight bezels and gloss black grille.
New front and load are floor mats.
New genuine Land Rover dash finisher trim strip.
New wiper switch.
New indicator stalk.
Double horn.
New spare wheel mount.
