For sale is an absolutely beautiful, garage kept since new, 2 owner 1992 Dodge Ram 250 LE 4x4 with just 89,702 actual original miles. This is a club cab long bed pickup equipped with the legendary 5.9 Cummins 12 valve intercooled turbo diesel engine. This truck is truly a time capsule and is in remarkable condition inside and out. This truck sold new in Spokane, Wa and has not left the Inland Northwest Area since new. The original owner sold the truck in 2016 at the age of 85 years old when the truck had approximately 71,000 miles. The second owner was a diesel mechanic and took meticulous care of this truck. Many of the truck"s services from over the years are documented in the back of the original owner"s manual. This truck is the top of the line LE model featuring power windows, power locks, power mirrors, tilt wheel, cruise control, A/C and AM/FM cassette radio. All of the factory power options are working except for the radio.
The interior of this Ram 250 is in near new condition. The seats are essentially perfect aside from a slight crease in the fabric on the driver"s side seat bottom as shown. The carpets are in excellent condition without any rips, stains or fading. The dash is free of any cracking or fading and all of the gauges are working. The overdrive cancel button and cargo light button are working as well. The arm rests on the captains chairs do not show any wear. The rear jump seats are in excellent condition as shown below. The truck was fitted with a CB when new and it still remains in the truck, however it could be easily removed if desired. The power windows and locks function perfectly as well as the cruise control. The A/C blows cold and the fan speed switch works in all positions.
The exterior of this Ram 250 is absolutely beautiful. The truck is finished in Colorado Red (PE4) with a Bright White (QW7) accent stripe. The paint is beautiful without any traces of peeling or fading anywhere. The truck does have several minor blemishes typical of the age and mileage, as to be expected of a truck of this age, but no major blemishes otherwise. View the detailed photos below for close ups of the few blemishes. The truck had a bug shield installed when new, which protected the leading edge of the hood very well. The original bug shield is included in the sale, however we removed it for the photos. The body of this truck is incredibly straight with just a few dings in the tops of the fenders, presumably from work performed over the years, but nothing larger than a dime or so. The panel alignment is excellent throughout and both doors, the hood and tailgate open and close effortlessly. The full length running boards were also installed from new and have preserved the rockers and door bottoms incredibly well as shown below.
The undercarriage of this truck is 100% rust free. The truck was treated to a dealer undercoating treatment when new which has protected the undercarriage very well. There is some typical surface rust on the frame and suspension components, but nothing more. The floor pans, rockers, door bottoms, bed floor, quarter panels and fenders are all rock solid.
This Ram 250 runs and drives as well as it looks. The steering and suspension is tight as can be without any obscure rattles or squeaks. The engine runs very smoothly and has absolutely zero blow-by. The second owner performed several important services within the past few years including the installation of a new radiator, thermostat and hoses, a valve adjustment with new tappet cover gaskets, the killer dowel pin kit install (google for info), new rear brakes and a transmission rebuild. At 71,564 miles the differentials were flushed with Lucas Synthetic gear oil.
Included with the sale are two sets of keys, the original owner"s manual with service notes and the Chrysler sound system manual along with the original cassette tape.
This is surely one of the most well preserved 1st generation Cummins diesel pickups left in existence and will not disappoint.
