Vehicle description
Last year for full size square body fully loaded all original amazing condition right down to the factory gm floor mats. I am the third owner. NO RUST Drives and runs like new. With various maintenance receipts through the years verifying the mileage is real. I wanted a really nice blazer for the back country as I had a couple back in the day when they were new. The one I have here is simply too nice to go scratch up and use in the back country. It even had original shocks on it when I bought it. It is truly an amazing survivor that is in better shape than most restored blazers of this vintage. I am an originality buff so everything I have replaced has been with GMC dealer parts counter parts. I have not put any aftermarket tune up parts from the local auto parts store. Having owned several of these I know what happens around the 100,000 mile mark so I performed some serious preventative maintenance 10,000 miles early; -New belt, new battery, new ignition control module, new map sensor, new o2 sensor, new cap, new rotor, new plugs, new wires, new radiator cap, IAC valve, and new tbi gasket. -Big ticket items are a new ring and pinion in rear end with Timken bearings and seals throughout and Richmond gears. -Red Head steering box (original was not as tight as it could be) -Changed out the original auto hubs for warn hubs and put in new Timken bearings and seals in front. -The steering joints and ball joints are all original and tight. -New oem size 31x10.5.x15 BFG at ta"s on original rims with original center caps. -The only thing modified from original is the exhaust as the previous owner put an exhaust system that didn"t sound factory. So, I took an original brochure to a custom exhaust shop so they would get the style right and had them put on a Magnaflow muffler and resonator to bring back the factory quiet sound and look. The new exhaust is patterned exactly off of original including using all original brackets and routing complete with back cut tailpipe. OTHER DETAILS: -Everything works as it should -No rust -Never been lifted or abused in any way -Seats, carpet pretty much everything is in excellent condition. -No oxidizing on dash or door panels. -Original dash is not cracked. -There are some small door dings at the edge of driver and passenger door. They are not big enough to show up in photos, part of being a survivor. -There is a rub type small ding next to tailgate handle once again not really able to see it in a picture as it is too small. -Yes that shinny paint is beautiful throughout and there doesn"t appear to be any clear coat lifting like the ones stored outside their whole life -The only reason the paint is so nice is because it had full length running boards, bug deflector and rear mudflaps that went almost to the ground and it was always garaged in a non salt state. I removed all of the running boards and mudflaps. There were 4 -5/16 bolt holes in the pinch weld under the door on each side that the running boards were mounted to. Drove me nuts so had them filled in and the 1/2 inch wide pinch weld only was painted to match to cover the newly patched holes. I do not know if there is a nicer restored let alone survivor jimmy or blazer such as this out there with all original or oem parts, beautiful original paint and already preventative maintained so you can get in and drive with zero worries This is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early if it sells. Any questions or if you want to have somebody look at or drive it then let me know. Almost impossible to find one nicer. Keywords: GMC Jimmy. Chevrolet Blazer
