Vehicle description
This car was purchased new in 1990 by my grandmother and was maintained by our local Cadillac dealer for many years. She eventually got to where she couldn’t drive with confidence and passed the car on to me. I’ve put 8K miles on the car in the past 12 years and just don’t have the space or time to give it the love it deserves. It"s a very unique car and always gets a lot of attention when I drive it. I have the window sticker and owner’s manual.
EXTERIOR: The original paint is still intact and holding up pretty well. There are a handful of dings from parking lots and a scratch or two, but nothing major. The factory original wire wheels are in good shape. The window glass is in really good condition and I just installed a new window motor in the driver door. The windshield has two very small rock chips that don’t impair your visibility. The chrome is all complete and in excellent shape. New filler panels were recently installed. The vinyl top is showing some wear from being exposed to the Texas sun for a little too long.
INTERIOR: The burgundy interior is in pretty remarkable condition considering its age. There is one crack in the dash and one in the driver door armrest. Other than that it’s hard to find flaws. All of the wood accents are intact and in excellent shape. The factory radio quit working several years ago, but the cruise control still works great.
MECHANICAL: The 5.0L V8 (305cid) could use a basic tuneup, but still runs strong and pulls the big Cadillac around without a fuss. It cruises at highway speeds like a dream. The feel of the steering and suspension are hard to describe unless you’ve driven one of these cars before. It seems to float along at 75 mph with very little effort required from the driver. The AC will need a new compressor, but the system is complete otherwise, and the climate controls are still functional. The transmission shifts smoothly as it should and the brakes stop the car with ease. The car has a brand new battery and fresh tags/inspection/registration.
Please don’t hesitate to call/text James at 9o3.821.4958 if you have any questions about the car or would like specific photos. I have it advertised on a few other sites and will take this ad down without notice when it sells. Thanks for looking!
