Modified 1990 Volvo 740 GLE 4-Speed for sale on BaT Auctions - closed on March 9, 2021 (Lot #44,251) Bring a Trailer . - Cold Start Video
- Driving video There is nothing that is wrong with the car, it is ready to drive across the country. It is completely mechanically sound, but could gain 40+ hp with a standalone Engine Management, because the motor is built for High Compression and has many performance parts, such as camshafts, crank gear, engine geometery, forged rods, valve relief pistons etc. Flywheel recently resurfaced, new clutch installed. New alternator Bosch, new AC Compressor (Ice Cold AC), shifter linkage flawless/replaced. No leaks, and no rust. Waxoyl underbody treatment to fight any corrosion. 4 new "Hydra" powder coated white rims included with Firestone FR710 tires, along with the snow tires as shown. Sound system is all Alpine and includes some sound deadening work performed. Odom reset to zero because the last odometer broke, but I fixed the newer one when the motor was installed (which I think makes sense). Estimated 190k total miles on the car. Car was imported from Guam in 1999, I don"t think it snows there. . Very fun to drive, RWD, driveshaft professionally balanced and incredibly smooth. Full suspension upgrades from iPD USA. Bilstein HD, sport springs. Volvo 960 front seats. Seat heaters don"t work, but are servicable (That"s the only thing that doesn"t work). RARE car, good for someone who wants to learn about tuning an ECU, but also ready as-is to drive anywhere.
