(Please see walk around video of car on youtube, link copied below)
I have for sale a 1990 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL in a beautiful and rare Blue over Dove Grey leather interior with 92k miles. This car is immaculate and I challenge you to find a cleaner one in this color combination! It is absolutely gorgeous in person. It was garaged for most of its life and it really shows. I purchased the car a little while back from a gentleman in New Jersey. It had a few things that needed to be worked out, so i sent it right to my specialized Mercedes mechanic and had him go through the entire car. He did a fresh oil and filter change, spark plugs, installed a new rear window regulator, adjusted the idle, fuel filter with new O-Rings and seals, new gas pedal as the old was somewhat broken, full compression test and leak down test on all cylinders which came back perfect across the board, Fuel injection service, Valve Cover Gaskets, Air Filter, and some fuel/oil additive. Also it has a current PA Emissions sticker. The transmission is smooth and runs through all of the gears perfectly. All power windows, sunroof, seats and steering wheel operate as they should. Front and rear heated seats. Rear seat is power reclining and has factory foot rests. The back seat is a pleasure to sit in.
The car has a few things still to be attended to in order for it to be 100%. I recently put over $2,000 into the car and it is not far away from being perfect. First, the exhaust resonators will need to be replaced as it will not pass a PA Inspection. There are two large resonators that seem to be worn out per my mechanic and they will need to be replaced. If you live in a state where this vehicle is exempt, then you won"t have to worry about it for a while. The car does not have an exhaust leak and is very quiet.
Second, the AC does not work. It will need to be converted from R12 to R134, and my mechanic said roughly $400.00 for that conversion and a full charge. Heat also does not work. Not sure why.
The power Antenna does not go up/down however the radio works fine and it does get reception.
There is a very small leak coming from the bottom of the radiator. This can be dealt with 1 of 2 ways. You can drain the entire system down, remove the radiator and JB weld it, then reinstall and refill the system. Or you can replace the radiator completely and put a new one in its place. I am not sure how this happened as i bought the car this way. It only drips a very small amount, but still i want to make the next buyer aware so there is no confusion. I have not had to add any coolant to the car since Ive owned it, but thats not to say the problem can"t get worse. If i were to buy the car i would have it addressed for peace of mind sake.
Overall the car is in fantastic shape. Full size spare, and all tools are in the trunk. These cars are only going to appreciate in value in the years to come, and to find a 560SEL thats in this clean of condition is not going to be easy.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via phone or text. Joe - (267) 808-9387
There are 2 Mercedes dealerships located close by if you would like to have the vehicle sent out for a pre purchase inspection. The buyer will be responsible for all costs related to that, as well as transportation.
I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.
Please see attached a full walk around and short drive video of the vehicle on youtube.
