Vehicle description
Up for sale is my 1990, 35th Anniversary Thunderbird Super Coupe. I am asking $5000.00 or best offer. There were only 3371 of these cars made. It has a factory supercharged 3.8L V-6 and gets up and goes when you need it to. The engine plaque confirms this is number 506 of the Anniversary Thunderbirds made in 1990. It has 130600 miles on it and will go up slightly as weather is getting nice enough to drive it here in NC. When I am not driving it it stays parked in a garage out of the weather.
Mechanically this vehicle is sound. The transmission has less than 200 miles on a complete overhaul. It started slipping from first to second gear so I had it sent off for a complete overhaul to the tune of 825.00. I have also replaced the passenger window motor, and a faulty ABS accumulator ball. I also purchased an extra one for future use as these are next to impossible to find on line.
Cosmetically the paint is 8.5/10. It looks great for a nearly 30 year old paint job. There are a couple spots that need to be touched up. I have not found any rust on this vehicle. I checked it out thoroughly when I had the transmission out at my shop.
All electronics work as they should. This car has been well taken care of its whole life. The only bad spots on the car are the few cracks in the dash board and the driver seat needs to be recovered. These flaws are shown in the pictures posted with the ad. I want to be as honest as I can with whomever decides to purchase my car. I believe this car to be fairly listed and just needs the right person to come along and give her a new home. It would not take much investment to make this a $20,000 car. I would do it myself but my true love is the Foxbody Mustang.
