I will probably regret it but I have decided to sell my Toyota Pickup. This is a 1989 regular cab V6 5 speed with 131,000 original miles in above average condition. This truck has been a southern truck since new and has spent its entire life in North Carolina and South Carolina and there is not one ounce of rust on this truck anywhere. This truck has been very well taken care of since new and it shows, never wrecked, never had any body work done, all body parts are original as well as the interior. There are no dents at all on the body there are a couple of very light scratches here and there and a rock chip or two. The guy I bought the truck from his great uncle purchased the truck new in 1989 and it has been in his family until the day I got it from him so the truck has only had 3 owners including me and it has always been owned and driven by an adult not some teenager! I can honestly say that I can"t find any evidence that the truck has ever been in any mud. The truck is all original with the exception of the tires and wheels, it has a set of BFG MT KM2 tires 33-12.50-15 on American racing 15 x 8 aluminum wheels that I put on it after I bought it, Tires still have 85 - 90% tread, I also have a good set of Uniroyal Laredo 31-10.50-15 tires that were on the truck when I bought it that will go with it if the buyer wants them. The truck was repainted a couple years ago by the Toyota dealership in Statesville, NC due to the clear coat peeling and paint was fading and it was a very good refinishing job done by the dealership. The timing belt has also been replaced at 95k miles, new clutch at 128k miles and oil has been changed religiously by the dealership every 3k miles. Any work that was done to the truck was done by the Toyota dealership. This little truck runs and drives excellent and does not miss a beat, everything works just as it should, A/C blows nice and cold, heater nice and hot, has nice Sony CD player and interior is in excellent condition, no rips or tears in the seat, no stains on the carpet, no cracks in the dash and no check engine lights or codes, even the windows have never been tinted. It also has dual exhaust, chrome step bars and a chrome grill guard. When I say I will probably regret selling this truck is an under statement because I know I will regret it because These trucks are near impossible to find totally rust free and in this condition! You would have a very hard time finding one that has been this well taken care of and loved like this one has been. The only reason I decided to sell it is because my left knee is shot and it just aggravates and hurts my knee to drive it around, if it was automatic I would keep it no doubt. I would not hesitate to get in the truck and drive it anywhere. I will also have it up for sale locally as of the beginning of next week so auction could end early.
I have owned Several of these year model (89 - 95) Toyota trucks over the past 20 years, I know what they are worth and know a lot about them so please do not waste my time with some low ball offer because I have a set price and I will not let the truck go under that price simply because of the condition that it is in and the low original miles and it may be a cold day in you know where if I ever find another one like it. If you would like to make an offer, feel free but please consider that these little trucks are extremely hard to find in this shape and others are asking an arm and a leg for beat up rusted out ones with 200K + miles.
