Vehicle description
LHD with 2.5 4cylinder diesel (burns clean for the year as can be seen/heard in video: https:/ vimeo.com/443090708
VIN number: SALLDHAC8EA353610
Was shipped from Solihull to West Africa in 1990. I purchased it from original owner - a British mechanic - in 2007. Shipped from Dakar to US in 2020.
Frame has no rust due to remote Sahel climate where it has spent the last 30 years.
"Africa spec." so came with dual factory-installed fuel tanks and sediment bowl, oil cooler, heavy-duty suspension, etc.
New upgrades that were completed in US this year:
1) All wiring and electrics replaced
2) All new lights installed
3) Brakes (rotors/pads in front, shoes at back, booster, master cylinder, etc.)
4) Slickshift kit (improves shifting on vintage LR"s)
5) New shocks and recent coils
6) Rebuilt axles with a new rear driveshaft (free axle set available for spares, with rear a Salisbury)
Too many other upgrades to list – Please contact me for specifics
Also has a factory-installed A/C unit but not currently working (developed a leak in system).
