Vehicle description
My Mom has finally decided to sale her 1989 BMW325i. She bought the car brand new off the lot, and she loves this car, but she doesn’t drive it anymore, except when she drives it to keep the battery charged and prevent the tires from sitting in the same place. She’s been driving an SUV for the last few years but has maintained the BMW nevertheless. Oh, about the maintenance- she’s old school and she’s been working with the same old school mechanic since she purchased the car 29 years ago. Needless to say, that while her experienced, capable mechanic has been great at maintaining the 325i over the years, he was not, let’s say, a computer using mechanic. So, he would work on and maintain the car, but he didn’t plug the car in for diagnostics. (No fancy computers in this shop)
He just listened, tuned, and fixed whatever needed to be fixed. Computers and warning lights be damned. With that said, know that this car has been well maintained over the years, but every warning light available in the technologically advanced vehicle of its time is on. Neither my mom nor the mechanic was concerned with the lights as long as the car was running reliably, and it has been and it still does.
