Vehicle description

The guy who won this auction last week decided he wasn’t going to pay (🙄), so I’m relisting it here with the original post:
Oh how sad I am to put this truck on ebay. But alas, it is time. I bought this truck in 2016 from a dealership in Los Angeles, CA and have driven it all over the west. I love it. I moved to northern New Mexico in 2017 and the truck has lived here since. It’s spent its 33 years in the desert, so rust is not an issue. I"m the 3rd owner.
A few weeks ago, it started overheating and died on me. I had it towed to the mechanic and they told me the head gasket was leaking and it would most likely need a new engine. Noooooo! I decided I didn’t want to fix it up and thought I’d pass it along to its next owner, someone who is a bit better with car repair than I am.
So no, this truck doesn’t run. It needs a new engine, though I would imagine that most people won’t mind that TOO much because they want to throw a 22R in here anyway. I’d say I got asked weekly if I’d sell this thing. We call it “Steve” but you can call it whatever you want.
Few thangs:
- The passenger door doesn’t always open from the inside and the window needs to be rolled down to open from the outside. This is an easy fix. - Needs to be detailed. My dog/partner-in-crime, Frankenstein, was with me a lot in the truck and I couldn’t get all the hair out (I couldn’t drive into town to professionally clean it because, well, it doesn’t run). NBD at all, but just getting all the details out. - The bench in the back is not there anymore, I use a 2x8 because the stock bench is kinda small and I couldn’t put much back there. I need a shelf. If you want an original bench, they’re not hard to find. - Tape player doesn’t work but the CD player does (i put a new stereo in it a few years ago) and has USB hookup for phones - There’s a small dent on the front left. I found this dent upon returning to my car at the supermarket. I hate the person who did this. - I have the topper! Pictured. You just need to buy the clamps for it ($50). I can put it on if someone wants to ship the truck.
This truck rules. If you know, you know…
