Vehicle description
•1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 •176k original miles -3FE w/ auto trans •Full Old Man EMU suspension with 305/75/16 BFGoodrich KM2 tired -Tires have very little wear but do have some dry rot starting to happen. The spare has never been used.
This is a second vehicle for me and the time has come to sell it. I have put quite a bit of work into it over the last year and it is a very solid truck. It’s not a rust free truck, unfortunately. It’s spent it’s life in Maryland and Virginia and it shows in some areas. I had a spot around the windshield repaired and the rear section of the frame repaired. The frame from the rear sway bar mounts backwards has been cut out and completely replaced by a professional welding shop. The rest of the frame has been treated and rust is no longer an issue. I can’t assure you enough about how solid the frame is now after these repairs. The body does have rust that has formed underneath the bedliner you see along the bottom of the vehicle. The passenger side front door corner is the most visible spot on the truck with the rest of it being in the rear wheel wells and quarters. I chose not to have this rust repaired due to the nature of having to remove and reapply the bedliner.
It’s hard for me to describe to you how nice of a vehicle this is despite the rust. It’s the perfect truck to buy and actually use and worry about getting it dirty. It’s the most capable vehicle I have ever driven.
I would prefer to sell to someone that can pick it up but if shipping is necessary all costs will be covered by the buyer. If you are willing to purchase the vehicle without checking it out in person that is your choice but I will not accept returns if you are unhappy with the condition once it arrives. I have a bunch of photos and I’m willing to take more if necessary
*Update 9/5*
The power steering is feeling tight and will need some sort of attention. I"m not entirely sure the extent but I have lowered the price to reflect that a repair may be necessary. The pump has never made any noise, just doesn"t always seem to be working to its full potential
