1988 Jeep Wrangler YJ This has been my "Fun" vehicle. Adult owned and never off-road since I"ve had it. (previous owner did take it off road but since I"ve owned it has not.) I have kept it in the garage and it has been my fun driver NOT my daily driver. This jeep was built by the previous owner. He did a pretty good job of the build and I"ve added to it along the way. I"ll try to give you the background on it as I know it. This Jeep started life as a 1998 Wrangler YJ Sahara edition. Since then it has been transformed into the bright hugger orange fun machine that you see here. The odometer says 170,000 plus but that"s not accurate for the engine and the rest of the vehicle. Keep reading to learn more. Features include: Interior- Aftermarket bucket vinyl seats, Sound bar, aftermarket stereo, Spray On Bed Liner interior makes for easy clean up. Smittybuilt Locking Center Console with cup holders. 9 and 13 Pool Ball shifter and knobs. New steering column internals including new key mechanism 2014. Exterior- Custom Front and Rear Bumpers, Winch, Hood Mounted Bumper Jack, Fog lights, Front and rear 2in hitch adapters, Swing away rear tire carrier with matching wheels and tires, Cooper Discovery ST M+S 35X12.50 R15s, Besttop Soft top, zips off to a Safari top, (which is how I keep it most of the time). Metal Half Doors with zip down windows, Slip on neoprene rear seat cover. Mechanical- Engine was replaced back in 2005-06 timeframe when it was built. Has a 4.2 inline 6 cylinder with a holly carb set up. 6 speed manual transmission, Includes 4x4 Posi-Lok set up for front axel. (makes locking in a lot easier from the driver"s seat), All Steel Brake Lines, New Brake Master Cylinder 2014, New Aluminum Radiator 2012, New clutch 2014, New Hoses and Belts 2015, Pro Comp Shocks, Mild not wild lift on it. .3 in body and about 3 on the suspension. .it sits and rides nice. This old Jeep is solid. I can park it for long periods of time and it always starts. I"m constantly amazed at how tough it is. What else?
