This auction is for a 1988 ford Mustang GT Convertible. This car belongs to my son who asked me to list it for him The car has the original 5.0 V-8 engine with a rebuilt 5spd transmission. Has all the power options , windows, mirrors, door locks, top, trunk, steering and brakes, JVC stereo cd, NO AC. Has had the car for a little over 13 years and used during the summer and fall months only. Always garaged. The car runs very strong . When ever there was an item of concern it was taken right to the mechanic. We have receipts for over $8000 dollars that was invested. Just to name a few. complete new convertible top with glass back window , new pistons ,rubber seals for the top, head lamp assembly"s, flo master exhaust system, water pump, fuel pump, new fuel tank, brake lines, sending unit, complete motor gaskets, fan clutch assembly, rebuilt trans, clutch, pressure plate, fly wheel, alternator, and more. A used instrument cluster was replaced in 2013 showing 62519 miles but at the time the car had aprox 120.000. The car probably has aprox 125,000 miles and the paper work to show it . The body on the car is in very decent shape. The paint is faded and there is black primer on the hood and trunk arears. Under side is decent also. Has aftermarket hood and wing and roll bar which is easily removable by unbolting. The wheels are early 90,S interior is in decent shape also. Everything works with the exception of the 2 rear windows. The key switch stopped working and a push button for the starter was installed. This is a car you can drive and enjoy now and make it nicer as you go along. If your looking for a fox body mustang that wont break the bank, then this car may be for you. We have a clear and current Maine registration that is transferable should you need a title in your state. We require a $1000 dollar non refundable deposit at the end of the auction and balance to be paid within 3 days of auctions end. We reserve the right to end the auction early in case of a local sale.
