Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1986 Toyota 4Runner is an original. This is offered for sale by the original owner. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Refer to description Vehicle Details I’m selling a 1986 Toyota 4Runner 4WD with the bulletproof 22re. This runner has had two owners and has been owned by the second owner for the past 25 years. I have a stack of paperwork dating back to the early 2000s of work done to it. This 4Runner won’t be on Barrett Jackson, but is in pretty good shape for being 35 years old already! There’s the classic rust bubbles over the wheel wells, some faded paint and a couple dents but overall looks great still. The important part, the frame is in EXCELLENT shape. There is not a single crack or hole in any area of the frame whatsoever. Any spot you hit the frame with a hammer still has the metallic ping, and actually still has most of the factory black frame coating on it in most areas. With the exception of the dashboard which has the Toyota Grand Canyon cracks in it, it’s in very good shape. The headliner is almost perfect with the exception of one two inch tear towards the back. The rear window motor I’ve replaced about 3x already and it went out again and doesn’t work. Running and driving wise, this thing is awesome. 4wd high and low work perfectly, the manual locking hubs turn freely and easily by hand. The tires have at least 90% tread all around and ride very comfortably. The transmission kicks up and down with no problems, overdrive works perfectly on the highway and it has plenty of power, even for a 22re lol. It also has a sunroof and aftermarket radio which sounds pretty good and my favorite, VENT WINDOWS! the best option you can get! Some recent work that has been done: - Engine rebuilt 2k miles ago - Transmission rebuilt 25k ago - New wipers - New thermostat - Fresh oil change - Coolant flush - Cold start injector cleaned - New spark plugs (NGKs) - New thermostat gasket - New radiator cap - Newer battery - Newer alternator - All new fuses This 4Runner, as I said is no garage queen. It has been driven, enjoyed, maintained and taken care of. I hate to see it go, but I’d like to start saving for a house. Thank you Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
