Vehicle description
1986 Pontiac Trans Am in good condition. If you like thirgens you will love this one.
Body: Interior has been largely upgraded. New Carpet. 4th Gen Trans Am leather seats (extremely comfortable with working electric bolsters and lumbar). 4th Gen center console. Glass T-Tops in perfect shape. All glass in good condition. Custom Floor mats. Paint is dull, was painted in 2002, but vehicle is originally black. There are some spidering cracks on the plastic pieces. Could use a repaint.
Mechanical: Engine runs good and reliably. Plenty of power. Transmission has crisp shifts. Rear end upgraded to 3.42 positraction. Rear brakes need replacement and I will include brake pads and rotors in the sale (just have not had time to install myself). Undercarriage in good condition, no rust I am aware of. Passed smog test on 10/15/2017.
Upgrades: Tires in very good condition, rear larger than front, with ROH Snyper rims. New battery. Powerbulge hood from an earlier model, but also originally black. Spoiler is fiberglass and a great upgrade from the factory one (which is rubber and cracks). Equipped with a steering "wonderbar" brace, and Alston subframe connectors. Has SLP cold air intake system. Has Eibach 1" lowering kit. It has an alarm system and a hidden ignition cutoff switch.
Other: Equipped with Air Conditioning, but it has not been operational since I"ve owned the vehicle. Stereo is not working at the moment, may be just a loose power wire. The pop-up headlights work fine. I converted the power hatch to manual since the power type break all the time. There is a crack in the middle of the dash pad which is very common. It has a custom shift indicator that I designed and it one of a kind.
I am the 2nd owner for the last 15 years and have put lots of work into the vehicle as a hobby. If only I had extra space I would enjoy keeping the vehicle. I have received a lot of compliments on the vehicle over the years and it gets attention since its now rather rare.
Priced to sell and it is being sold as is. Ask any questions before placing a bid. Cash or Certified Funds must be received and cleared prior to releasing the car. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.
