Vehicle Details Offered for your consideration is a 1986 Mercedes Benz 560SEL with an original 54,000+ miles. This car is in immaculate condition and looks like a brand new 35 year old vehicle when looking at it from 5 feet away. I am not saying it’s perfect, but the flaws are few and small. The Mercedes starts, idles, runs, drives, and stops perfectly and effortlessly. It does not wander or pull during driving or stopping.There is absolutely no rust anywhere. The undercarriage is clean. All original rust proofing is in excellent condition. The exhaust system is quiet, appears to be original, and is rust free. The car has always been garaged, has never been a daily driver, and has never been in an accident. The black paint shines like new. There are only a handful of touched up tiny stone chips around the car, one very minor paint rub above the passenger side rear wheel well, a small scratch on the trunk lid, and one corner bumper rub also on the passenger rear. There are no dents or dings.The interior appears as new with soft leather upholstery showing no wear whatsoever. The seat bolsters are perfect. Headliner is perfect. Dash is perfect. Gauges are clean and clear and appear as new. Windshield is original and perfect. The wood trim around the gear shift lever on the center console has slight cloudiness and a crack, but is not noticeable unless you really scrutinize the piece. The rear window deck lid with storage compartments and seat backs/head rests are perfect with no sun fading or signs of wear. The carpeting is excellent and appears as new. There are two full sets of Mercedes floor mats which will convey with the car as well as a set of Weathertech rubber mats. Pretty much everything works including the Air Conditioning, sunroof, power antenna, seats, windows, lights, cruise control, etc. The driver side power headrest goes up but does not automatically come down without manual intervention. The gear rack is reportedly stripped. A new part is included with the sale, but will need to be installed. The original Becker radio has been replaced at a Mercedes Benz dealership, with a newer Mercedes Stereo system with aux plug for connecting your phone. The speakers have all been upgraded as well. It is a premium unit and sounds wonderful. The original Becker unit has been retained and will convey with the car. The car has a spare tire which looks to have never been out of the trunk along with the original tool kit. The entire trunk compartment appears as new. The wheels and tires are excellent. The wheels have no damage or wear whatsoever. Tires have excellent tread are well balanced and aligned.The original purchaser of the car when new, kept it until 2009. The original window sticker, bill of sale, registrations, and ownership transfer records are included in the file folder which will convey with the car. Also included is a history of dealership and non-dealer maintenance receipts from service providers.The Carfax Report requested by the second owner when purchasing the car, shows a mileage discrepancy of a few hundred miles between two consecutive reporting agencies during the original ownership. A notarized affidavit from the original owner is included in the paperwork and addresses this. It details several necessary changes of ownership from his personal vehicle to each of two corporate ownerships under his name, and eventually back to his personal ownership during his 23 year period with the car. The affidavit details minimal usage, regular detailing, and very few specific maintenance events during this time period suggesting that the discrepancy was merely a clerical error at some point. Considering that all of the vehicle’s maintenance during the original 23 year ownership was completed at a Mercedes Benz Dealership, the affidavit details minimal usage, all of the documentation corroborates this, and the condition of the car is exemplary, I don’t have any reason to believe the mileage is not accurate. However, in the spirit of full disclosure, I am passing this information along to a potential next owner.This vehicle is being listed with a Buy It Now Price.
