Up for auction is an absolutely beautiful, one owner, 106,465 actual original mile 1986 GMC Suburban Sierra Classic 4x4. This Suburban is finished in Midnight Black over a Slate Gray custom interior and is equipped with every available option for the year. Options include third row seating, color-keyed rubberized floor mats front and rear, A/C, 3.73 locking rear differential, 5.7 V8, 4 speed automatic transmission, AM/FM/Cassette radio, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, tilt wheel, electric rear window, deep tinted glass, 40 gallon fuel tank and heavy duty trailering package.
This Suburban sold new at Tom Price GMC of Spokane, Washington on August 19, 1986 and never left the Spokane area. The original owner drove this truck regularly to transport his family around until the late 1990s when it was put in covered storage. The truck has been stored for much of the last 20 years, only being driven approximately 6,000 miles since 1999. The Suburban comes with all of its original owner"s manuals and pamphlets inside of their original carrying case along with the original license plate frames from Tom Price GMC. The original title printed in 1986 remains with the Suburban as well.
The interior of this Suburban is beautiful and shows very little wear. The front captain"s chairs were covered in sheep skin seat covers since new, which protected them incredibly well. There are no tears, stains or seam separations and the arm rests appear unused. The second and third row seating is also in beautiful condition as shown. The carpets are free of any major stains or discoloration and the original GM floor mats remain in the front and rear. The dash pad has two hairline cracks as shown. All of the gauges are working including the fuel gauge. All of the power options are functioning as well, including the cruise control and rear tailgate window. The original AM/FM/Cassette radio remains in the truck and sounds excellent with very good reception. This is a non-smoker vehicle and the cigarette lighter and ash tray appear unused as shown below.
The exterior of this Suburban is in amazing original condition. The paint has a very deep shine and is free of any peeling, cracking or fading. The truck does have its fair share of small dings and fine scratches throughout, but no major body damage or signs of an accident. The body is very straight and the panel alignment is excellent for a GM truck of this era. The doors open and close with ease without any sagging. The cowl has an area of chipped paint near the driver"s side wiper arm as shown. The roof has several dents as shown, but no fading or peeling clear coat. The body is entirely rust free aside from a few minor blisters in the paint on the driver"s side as shown, along with some surface rust at the bottom of two of the two rear doors near the drains. The undercarriage is completely cancer free and dry as shown with only minor surface rust on the frame and suspension components. The tailgate is entirely rust free along with the entire tailgate jamb.
This Suburban runs and drives incredibly well. The steering and suspension are tight as can be and the truck runs straight down the road. The engine runs smoothly with plenty of power and torque and the transmission shifts smoothly in and out of all four gears.
