Vehicle description
1986 GMC S-15 Gypsy (Ultra rare) project truck
Complete frame-off restoration NEEDS TO BE FINISHED Frame was sandblasted and powder-coated to start the build. This is one of the finest examples of a mini short-bed square body. Laser straight, "show quality" black paint (interior of bed is also painted) Interior 90% complete, new carpet, needs headliner.
5.3 Vortec truck motor, drive by wire, headers. Prior to installing, low mile engine was completely rebuilt, including new piston and all new valves. New radiator, water pump, alternator, A/C condenser, cooling fans, belt, tensioner, idler pulley. New gas tank and fuel pump and starter. 4L60E auto transmission, new torque converter. Installed brand new NOS GM sheet metal, both doors, both fenders, door hinges, all new body mounts, door and window seals, door locks, door handles, new windshield, new aluminum cowl hood.
Basically all new brake parts and front end parts, shocks and front springs, and tons of new parts I can"t think of .
Wheels and tires are nothing special, I planned to replace them
Perfect winter project, easily finished by spring, needs very little to complete. I have lost interest, I have 5 other projects going and I just seem to keep pushing this one off. I spent over $10,000.00 in just parts and paint supplies without any labor. Starts and runs, moves and stops. Can by driven onto a trailer STILL NEEDS COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM, LIGHTS WIRED UP (PLUGGED IN) SUSPENSION PARTS FINAL TIGHTENED , OTHER MISC. ODDS AND ENDS. NOT ROAD WORTHY YET, STILL IN THE PROJECT CLASS. Call or text for details May consider a partial trade? ?
