About this vehicle This 1986 Chevrolet S10 Blazer is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes I will assist in meeting your shipper at no cost Vehicle Details I purchased the 1009 from gov deals and it was located at the university of Alabama in Huntsville al. They received it from the government. They had it 10 years but never drove it because they didn’t have an ignition key. I had a locksmith replace the ignition switch and then took it to a diesel shop and as time permitted I would work on it with their assistance. I started out with 2 new truck batteries. I had made all new cables. I just don’t like junky battery cables. We drained the fuel. Refilled and tried to start it. I then discovered that UAH had robbed the starter off it to use on another blazer they have. I got a new gear driven starter and rear support bracket. Got the starter installed and it didn’t sound right. So I purchased another starter and it did the same thing then I discovered a loose wire. So there is a spare new starter that is included. We get it cranked and running so I put it in gear and nothing happens. UAH had taken the rear drive shaft. I get a new one and it is off and running. As you read everywhere these things are hard to start. I installed new glow plugs and the removal tool is included. Then we changed the air filter, oil and filter, transfer case fluid and serviced the transmission fluid, and wiper blades. It has 4 new tires that have less than 200 miles on them. There is no rust on this truck. It has the surface rust that you see on the floor boards but it is on the surface. It rubs off with your shoes. The odometer shows 25000 miles. My bill of sale shows 125000 I don’t think it has 125000 everything is to tight and nothing has much wear on it the 4 wheel drive and the locking hubs work as they should I drove it around in 4 wheel drive while I waited on the rear drive shaft the speedometer was working when I bought it. Then one day it just quit. There is a new speedometer cable included What’s it need? Someone that loves it. All window sweeps and seals are bad. Back glass crank has handle broke but works good. The glow plugs fail to work on occasion. When they fail they are only getting 4 volts. I imagine it’s the controller. I really enjoy the truck I just don’t have anywhere to keep it or work on it.
