1985 VW Jetta 4 door sedan. Daily Driver. 1.6 qtr diesel (non turbo). Manual transmission. Shifter kit rebuilt 1 year ago. PA inspection thru May 2020. Does not require an emissions.
New paint, rubber in good condition, Some but minimal rust on floor pans. Replaced/welded floor pans about 4 years ago. Re-upholstered front seats and headliner. Sound deadening wrap added to interior body for sound insulation. Amplified sound system with crutch field receiver and speakers for nice sound while cruising. Sunroof, windows provide good airflow in summer. No a/c. Engine at approx 300K miles, new fuel pump and injectors (this year), good acceleration. 40-45 mpg average.
I"ve owned and used this car in my 60 mile daily commute for past 5 years+. I"ve actually owner the engine for more (9 years) and it has been running strong. I add about 1/4-1/2 qtr oil on every fillup. I can get about 8 days of commute (480+ miles) before fillup. Gas savings and repair savings are great. Winter plugin to block will keep glow plugs hot overnight allow it to start easily when temp dips below about 20. Otherwise will start right up every time.
Made in West Germany on the door label - its an antique car or classic but has been fun to fix up and run.
Also have a number of extra parts (door handles, extra rubber, side panels, etc) if you want them.
