INTRODUCTION Here is your chance to own one of the best examples of an air-cooled Porsche 911. This is one of the times where you are introduced to a car that is a better version than you could ever dream of. This car reflects the iconic classic Porsche design and combines it with the most advanced air-cooled VarioRAM 3.6 engine ever built.
POWER Locating the perfect low mileage 3.6L motor took months and months of waiting. After the motor was purchased it was then shipped to personal friends of the owner"s exhaust manufacturer to be fitted with a one-off custom header/exhaust system. Due to the increased horsepower and torque, the transaxle was also upgraded to a Porsche 930 turbo axel. A new 915 transmission was also installed keeping the favored 915 gear ratio over changing out to a not as desirable G50 ratio transmission. A Wevo short shifter was installed to provide precision shifts which is also spring centered and has a blocked reverse shift mechanism for safety.
SUSPENSION After much debate and NOT opting for coilovers mostly due to such a rough ride and because that"s not how Porsche wanted the car to feel we installed new factory spec Bilstein suspension. This setup provides amazing handling and a very comfortable ride just like Porsche intended.
BRAKES Sorry, we did not keep these stock. We did, however, consider the 930 Turbo big reds but nothing compared to the 4 piston cross-drilled Brembo kit that offers the maximum stopping power for this vehicle.
OPPORTUNITY The new owner can take advantage of more than 1,000 man hours required to create the wide stance exterior parts that really set these cars apart from a narrow body 911. After more than 30 revisions and two years of work the molds that created the beautifully sculptured body panels are included in the sale of this vehicle. These molds include the front bumper, front fenders, side rockers, rear quarter panels and rear bumper. This kit will fit on any 911 from 1974 to 1994.
