1985 Euro 500SEC AMG coupe. This car has been thru an 8 month restoration to bring it back to its original glory. Car was actually manufactured in 1983 but thru the import process it is titled as an 85. Was imported and federalized into WA state in the early 80"s. It still retains the original import data plate on the door jam along with a WA assigned VIN#. The actual vin# wdb12604412006044. Ebay does not accept euro vin"s in their listings. During the restoration the objective was to keep this car as original as it was delivered in 1983. Car is completely sorted and ready for a new proud owner. Here is a list of items addressed during the restoration process and there are receipts for the work. All parts were new OEM except when no longer available. 8 Bosch fuel injectors with seals etc. 8 Bosch WDC8 non-resistor spark plugs Alternator voltage regulator Overload protection relay OVP Idle control unit C&M rebuilt steering box Front end suspension rebuild including tie rods, ball joints, steering shock, center link etc. Power steering pump rebuilt Starter New Bosch battery Timing chain/sprocket/guides/tensioner serviced Hood pad Front and rear brake rotors and pads and front bearings repacked, brake fluid flush Transmission previously replaced with Mercedes factory (Germany) rebuilt euro spec unit. Data plate attached All fluids and filters replaced - pwr steering, transmission, rear differential, fuel, oil, air etc. Front bumper, rear bumper and grill refinished New headliner using factory correct material 4 wheel alignment Magna flow exhaust resonator installed Sunroof motor and cable replaced and lubricated Drivers door check strap Under carriage professionally cleaned - photos available Period correct Sony am/fm cassette with CD changer (trunk) rewired and new rear speakers and power amp installed AMG modifications include: Modified rear differential to 2.65 LSD gears, stock Euro SEC"s had 2.24 rear gears AMG body kit - front spoiler, rear valance, side skirts and trunk wing. All parts have AMG embossed part #"s etc. 4 AMG Penta style wheels 16X8 w/ Continental extreme pro-contact tires. Tires have approx. 85% tread remaining 225/50ZR16 AMG steering wheel Lowering springs on the suspension AMG rear badge This car is totally rust free with no signs of previous rust anywhere on the body or undercarriage. As mentioned above this car has been restored by a Classic Mercedes shop which specializes in w126, w124, w116 and R129 models. This is what we do and we do it right.
