Vehicle description
Maintained by A Better Wrench in Chapel Hill, NC; a Mercedes only shop. Very qualified (older) mechanics. :) If you know the stories of the "million mile engine" (the 1983, 1984, 1985 models), you will know and appreciate the mileage on this car. I like to call it a young adult who just left the teenage years! Over the past 16 years, I have replaced and corrected parts and components as needed. Things do wear out! I use about 99% original Mercedes parts. Just before I decided to sell, I had started replacing individual pieces of the dash. Only got to the glove box. Zebrano, brand new. I know where and how to source the drivers wood strip and the shifter console if it would help you as the new owner. Mats inside are all Coco Mats, custom made. Seats were reupholstered a few year ago. The car rides very well, city and highway. I have a whole glove box full of all the service receipts that I have accumulated during my ownership. Everything from wiper blades to new alternator, battery, new ignition tumbler, etc.
Why an I selling? I am 72 years old and recently was gifted a Chrysler van by my brother. Just trying to be simpler and tired of the price of diesel gas going up and up! Truth be told, my eyesight is failing me. Let"s work out an equitable shipping arrangement. Perhaps I can drive the car and meet you half way. Note: I have posted more pictures as asked for, however I am embarrassed that the interior never got the detail cleaning that I was planning. Please excuse. . she cleans up very sharp!
Note: to the person who asked if the clear coat is peeling on the roof- - NO. The picture was taken in the morning with the morning dew on the car. I wiped the car and windows but apparently forgot the roof. Perfect paint on the roof!
