“This is an All Original 1984 928 S, No Modifications, other than AC converted to 134a. Paint is all original except for left front fender and possibly front bumper. Cloth interior and carpeting shows little to no wear and still has that new car fluff to the carpeting. Drivers floor carpet is excellent, but shows some normal wear respective of the cars mileage. This is an All Original 1984 928 S. Everything works. Engine starts, runs and drives as it did when new. One of the few 928s I have driven that truly feels/drives as I remember a New 928 feeling and driving. Overall Investment Grade Condition.”

Vehicle description

For all of those who have told me that they wished that they would have bought my pristine 1979 Diamond Silver and Cork Pasha 1979 928, now named "Corky" on the Rennlist forum, This is your Second Chance !
I knew this car was special when it wandered into my shop a number of years ago, but little did I know how special it really was until I visited with Roger Tyson of 928sRUS and he did a VIN analysis for me.

This 928 S was custom ordered and uniquely optioned. To the best of our research it is a One of One car, maybe one to two, if that other car still exists.
This 928 was delivered in Germany, note blue dealer sticker on rear bumper. Since it was delivered and driven in Germany/Europe, it has all safety equipment, first aid kit, etc. that is required there. It also comes with two Catalytic converters, one for Europe and the other for USA. This additional Cat of course goes with the car. Yes, this car is otherwise a USA spec car, not a Euro.
Again, this is an Original Condition 928, not restored. A True "Time Capsule" 928.
A recent full and very detailed front to rear mechanical preservation restoration as well as all required maintenances have been completed in my shop, Randall Kara Techniques, in business over 35 years doing what we love, servicing/restoring Porsches and other Exotics. In summary, a Very detailed Front engine, Upper engine and Under engine maintenances have all been completed. New fuel pump, fuel filter, screen and fuel hoses. CV axles rebuilt and restored to new looking condition. Clutch removed and inspected. Pilot and release bearings replaced. Clutch master and slave cylinders replaced. Brake master cylinder and all rubber brake lines replaced. Engine oil pan gasket and motor mounts replaced OEM, Front wheel bearings serviced, seals replaced, AC compressor, drier and lines replaced as needed with 134a conversion. Fuel injectors were sent out for cleaning and flow tested. Of course, any time you start taking old cars apart to do in depth maintenance we always find numerous small things that need to be addressed and all of those types of repairs were done as well, from improper fasteners, tired electrical connectors, broken/missing clips, etc. All work performed was done in a way to preserve the original look of that component throughout all repairs performed. I would have left the AC R12, but it was already converted to 134a and thought it best to retain it. New, Pirelli P Zero Rosso 225/50R16 N4 tires. I have a detailed folder of parts invoices for this car as well as a history folder from the previous owner.
Earlier this year, my local Porsche Dealer Autobahn Motorcars, had this 928 on display in their new car showroom for one month and also used it in the reveal party for the new Porsche Taycan. . .quite a dichotomy! I will be happy to pass on all photos taken of this event to the new owner.
We are all aware of the upward price movement on the 928 and if this price movement continues in the tradition of other Porsche models a 928 of this rarity and quality has tremendous upward potential to the owner/collector. If I were 50 I would keep this car, but Im 70 (Yikes!) and its time to let the next caretaker enjoy!
My selling price is based on what I have seen other rare 928s sell for as well as the quality and rarity of this 928 and all the maintenances, repairs, refreshments and restoration that have been lovingly done here in my shop on this 928 S. I would say that this car needs nothing and it really does not, but for those of you who have done high level concurs events, you know what I mean when I say there is always something to improve regardless of how perfect a car is.
Thank You for taking a look and I welcome questions.
