Volvo 245 Wagon! California car no rust! Engine replaced around 300,000 miles, it runs smooth, strong, and quiet as these engines go. Manual transmission with overdrive, clutch engages firmly without slippage and trans shifts well. Good tires, hoses, belts, tune, filters, synthetic oil and OE filter, brake pads and rotors. Front calipers recently rebuilt. Timing belt about 16,000 miles into its 50,000 mile life. It starts right away every time and drives well. Has a good radio but A/C doesn"t work. These cars are in demand by surfers and campers! Excellent for car camping and family travels.
Paint is metallic burgundy-brown, in decent condition, about 10 years old and losing its shine in places. Interior is fair, a good deep cleaning and detail will make a huge difference. Door panels and handles are good, door pockets are present and in good condition-rare!, glovebox closes tightly, cargo area panels are all there and in decent condition. The seats are the original leather and they are in BAD cosmetic condition, with the leather all torn up with age but most of the cushioning still fair. There are some nice looking red seat covers on the front seats, pulled away for the photos. I"ll be listing a used set of seats if you"re looking for something better, which I will install for you before pickup with a buy-it-now, but I"m offering the car with these originals for flexibility if you"re fine with the seats or want to get them newly reupholstered yourself, or hunt down a set in the salvage yard. This is the GL model with the higher trim level. It has ALL the exterior trim pieces intact! This includes the easily-lost silvery strips along the lower window trim. 29 spoke 14" aluminum wheels.
The last owner drove it for many years of heavy commuting and maintained it well. He retired last year and bought a Tesla, and sold it to me right around the time Covid started, so I"ve had it just sitting parked in my lot since then. It has July 2020 tags. I will include a valid smog certificate for a California buyer, bu beyond that all registration costs, taxes, and fees are the responsibility of the buyer . There is a DMV office half a block away but we all know that"s a pain even during normal times. If you are an AAA member the local office will help you with the transfer. Otherwise I can send you to a good private DMV service a few minutes away with a quick turnaround time. You should be able to drive off after that with fresh tags and registration papers all in your name. Don"t forget insurance first ; there should be enough info in the listing to get the car added or a policy started once the auction closes but ask if you need something more to help the process.
