Vehicle description
In 1981, a concept car was presented at the Frankfurt motor show. This concept car was a cabriolet version of the 911.
In 1982 the 911 SC Cabriolet went on sale (the first cabriolet since the 356.)
The cabriolet was based on the Targa bodywork and was said to need very little extra reinforcements. Since its introduction the cabriolet slowly gained market share at the expense of the Targa.
This particular example is finished in Metallic Champagne exterior over Tan leather interior.
The car was purchased and driven in Europe during a tour of duty, and was privately imported by the former owner.
At that time, it was fully converted to DOT specifications, and is currently legally registered in the USA.
However, it retained its European performance specs, including a compression ratio of 9,8:1.
The interior is beautiful, with only some minimal wear on the door panels, and slight bleaching of the dash top from the sun.
This rare and wonderful 911 SC Porsche is part of a northern Florida multi-car collection, and we are happy to give it our highest recommendation.
