Vehicle Details Hello you are bidding on a rare1983 Pontiac Bonneville Station wagon manufactured by General Motors Corporation that appears to be in fair condition. My Dad, who was an Engineer and amateur mechanic, purchased this vehicle in Maryland and drove it along with 3 additional cars he owned at that time for his 45 minute commute to work. He kept a log documenting oil/filter changes he completed every 3k miles. He also replaced many of the wear and tear parts/accessories in this vehicle. The engine itself was replaced by King Pontiac in 1989 (odometer 66004 miles). So the replacement engine itself has only 130,391 miles on it. The water pump, radiator, thermostat, and accessory belts were replaced at 139k miles. The exhaust system was replaced at 151K miles. The AC compressor, accumulator etc. was replaced and converted from R-12 to R-134A at 159K miles. The brake shoes/pads and wheel cylinders were replaced at 194k miles. I did not see excessive rust under the car however the metallic paint used on this vehicle has faded, especially on the roof and will need to be repainted. I replaced the battery and test drove this Station Wagon around the neighborhood and the engine appeared to be very responsive and the transmission goes through all gears smoothly. The brakes worked very well until the brake light came and then brake pedal required more effort. (I found a pin-hole leak from the steel brake line on the left side near the rear axle). The small hoses related to emission and vacuum will need to be replaced. The tires are dry rotted and will need to be replaced. So this vehicle to require some maintenance and renovation. It is sold as-is.The winning bidder will need to have it towed to their location for safety reasons. Note: The owner’s manual, Chilton service manual and tire jack are included with this vehicle.
