Vehicle description
Vehicle Details The car for sale today is the Jaguar XJ6 Third Series aka Series III, which is recognizable for its impact bumpers, flush doorhandles and the line of the glasshouse which was modernized by Pininfarina. This specific car hasn't been driven since 2014, I bought it for my wife in 2008 (with approximately 62,000 miles at that time) and it was driving perfectly but we moved to the suburbs and since our commute became much longer we decided to only use this car on the weekends and little by little we simply stopped driving it. The car will require to be towed and has been driven in total around 72,899 miles: a great opportunity to buy a very good example of the last model which had been created by Sir William Lyons. This vehicle used to be in excellent mechanical condition but for safety reasons and because it doesn't have a current registration we advise the purchaser to have it checked over and to replace the fluids, filters and perishable elements. "Buyer is responsible for registering the car with their state department of motor vehicles." Please note, to register this XJ6 in California you'll need to pay the rights for the most recent 3 years, which as of December 2nd, 2021 sum to $751. This car doesn't need to pass the Smog Test verification anymore because of its age it is considered as a Classic Vehicle. The car is in California, Los Angeles County. • 1983 Jaguar XJ6 is a Series III sedan powered by the original 4.2-liter straight-six engine mated to the original automatic transmission. • The exterior is finished in burgundy, and several close-up photos showing the paint and lenses are provided in the gallery. • Exterior equipment includes chrome mirrors, black rubber bumpers, side markers, and a Jaguar “leaper” hood ornament. Stock 15” Kent wheels are wrapped in original Pirelli tires. • Tan leather seats are complemented by matching carpets and door panels. A Pioneer CD stereo replaces the factory radio, and the car is equipped with cruise control and a trip computer. Please note minor cracks in the clear coat of the burl wood trim on the dash and center stack. 72,899 miles are shown on the odometer. • The fuel-injected 4.2L inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a Borg Warner 3-speed automatic transmission. The most recent oil change was performed in 2014. ••Maximum Power: 205 hp (153 kW) at 5,000 RPM ••Dry Weight: 1,830 kg (4,034 lb) ••Wheelbase: 2,865 mm (112.8 in) ••Length: 5,067 mm (199.5 in) ••Height: 1,377 mm (54.2 in) ••Made in: United Kingdom ••Manufacturer: Jaguar Land Rover Limited ••Plant City: Browns Lane ••• The Jaguar XJ Series began production in 1968 as a large luxurious sedan. The original XJ was available with the famous 4.2-liter XKE engine. A final redesign to the initial XJ run occurred in 1979, courtesy of Pininfarina, who raised the Series III XJ-6 and XJ-12 roof at the rear and added a “kick” to the back fender. Additionally, quality control improved significantly during third series production. The XJ6 you see here is the Series 3, which was the last updated version. The Series 3 XJ was available with either a 6- or 12-cylinder engine, with the designation XJ6 or XJ12. All engines were fuel-injected. The XJ6 became a best seller model for Jaguar because it was a very comfortable and luxurious vehicle. Images Download the Motors app
