I am selling my 1982 Mercedes Benz 240d Diesel. It has a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine, with standard 4 speed transmission. No smog tests required. Used as the family car, it has minimal wear and tear for its years, and is in overall great shape. Standard seats are in good condition, sunroof is only item not working, power door locks all work, and lots of trunk space. In 1982 this car defined luxury, now it"s a collector vehicle. It is a CA car so there is very little rust! This diesel engine is a reliable motor with mechanical injectors, and is often used with a grease conversion kit which will allow it to run using waste vegetable oil (WVO). The current mileage is 254,000 (approx 7K mi/yr) and it is common for this 2.4 liter engine to run for 1,000,000 miles. The diesel engine runs great; it gets about 25 mpg. The tires on the car have less than 7000 miles on them. I follow a routine maintenance schedule with air filter, oil changes, and fuel filter changes. I have had this car since 1984 and maintained it meticulously. I have records of all service. Included in the sale will be a Haynes repair manual, extra fuses, extra air filter, extra fuel filters, and disc pads. Cruise works. All lights and signals work. Stereo AM/FM/cassette works. Electric radio antenna works but doesn"t retract. Great working fan, A/C and heat. Extras include a key activated alarm, metal fuel tank, back seat headrests, and 3rd rear center seat belt.
