Vehicle description

1982 Fiat Spider, runs very nicely. Was purchased many years ago, and I had planned to restore it, but have lost my shop, and I will not get to it for quite some time, so now it needs a new friend to take care of and finish it. Engine runs well with no known leaks or other issues. Transmission seems to shift into all gears, and also has no leaks, *(It will need a new downshift cable). Interior is pretty rough, but all there and quite restorable, but it will need a new top. . This one has A/C, and the pump actually turns and appears to work, so it will need recharged. Sheet metal all appears quite straight with rust in the usual places, but much less than I have seen in other cars her vintage. Jack points and Shocktowers are all in good shape. All four corners appear straight, and I don"t think anyone has ever bumped it badly. Comes with the alloy wheels as seen, and those were covered with brand new tires, just this spring. Also includes dashboard and console restoration covers that can be painted to look absolutely original. Top quality molded covers. Car needs trailering, as I consider it undrivable currently. I don"t know the state of brakes or other systems, and it needs a new battery. .* * *he car does not reach my buy it now price, I will keep the alloy wheels and new tires, and substitute the original steel with good low mileage rubber in their place. (Those alloys and rubber alone are worth 700 bucks) Happy bidding, this will be a nice little ride when finished. . I reserve the right to pull this auction at any time. I did drive it for a bit and the transmission shifts well through all speeds, but it does need the downshift cable replaced. Ask any questions you like through EBay. . (Note, the rust stains on the paint are the result of a leaky and "lousy idea" flat roof in the shop I used to have, and are not rust on the actual car itself)
