Vehicle description
1981 VW Westfalia for sale. Run perfectly mechanically. Clean AZ vehicle with title in hand. Selling since I am not using it as much recently!
Recent work done in March 2021 includes: Full Tune-up + oil, New Battery, New Alternator, Transmission Fluid flush. Overall, car has been maintained well over the years
Engine is "new" since core was swapped in July 2018 ($3500/can show receipts). Engine is perfect! Probably easy 1000-2000 miles on it from that time. Total of 148,000 miles on the odometer (but note that was on the old engine). Air cooled engine, carbureted, 4 cylinders, has catalytic converter. Buyer will be responsible for registering vehicle in respective states.
I pulled out the carpet (which I intended to replace) so new owner can add fresh carpet. Complete new carpet kit on Go Westy is ~$300.
Camper features: Pop top is in great condition with replaced canvas. Zippers open for more air flow. Can sleep up to 4 people (2 in the top, 2 on fold out bottom). Pop top mechanism works well. Passenger side chair swivels to face the back if wanted. Stove and refrigerator are all all complete (no missing parts), but I have not used them. Would likely need to refill propane and check the lines.
Issues: some very mild surface rust on the body. Front of vehicle has a few spots from rock chips. I"ve tried to capture it in the photos. Included pictures of wheel wells which look great. Some dents on the body see pictures.
