Vehicle description
Vehicle Details 16 year owned 1980 MG MGB that underwent a 4 year restoration from 2006-2010 and had an engine swap completed in 2020. The MG was originally bought in 2006 from a family member who owned a classic car garage. The purchase came with the purchase receipt from the original owners as well as service records. The initial restoration was started and 80% completed by the owner and then completed by an MG club in Kansas City after which it won numerous awards 3 years in a row at many local car shows. In 2020, the original 1.8L engine and transmission were pulled and replaced with a BluePrint 347ci V8 crate engine (415hp) and Tremec T-5 transmission that were installed and integrated with Mantell Motorsports V8 conversion kit (includes crossmember, transmission crossmember, headers, etc.). Additionally, the front brakes were upgraded with EBC drilled and slotted rotors, cooling comes from Eastwood's 22" radiator and Derale Performance fan, and a low V8 rumble comes from FlowMasters Outlaw exhaust system. The original tachometer and speedometer were replaced with SpeedHut gauges and show current mileage from the engine swap. The car frame and body had roughly 71,000 miles prior to the restoration. Recently, the hood was modified and repainted to accommodate the air intake scoop and the interior was lined with a sound deadening/heat displacement liner. The car has too many modifications and parts to list but has a very detailed restoration record as well as a book of receipts and service records. The car currently calls Colorado Springs home (6100' elevation) and will absolutely have to be retuned prior to being driven at lower altitude to maximize performance and to avoid any potential damage.
