LAND ROVER 109
I am selling this fantastic Land Rover Santana 109 from my private collection. Manufactured on 1980. Original Left Hand Drive vehicle. It"s got 3 doors and the motor is in very good condition, as seen on pictures. You will go a long way to find a better one. I have restored the vehicle from chassis. It is a pure and strong Land Rover 109.
Fuel type is diesel and motor is 2.28 liters inline 4-Cylinder & water cooled. Motor is running good. Gearbox and Engine working very good. One of the hardest 4x4. The vehicle has been very well treated and it keeps most of its original parts. Fully legal title deed, USA eligible.
The truck has had oil change/filters, radiator flushed/new coolant, new brake master cylinder, new 4 wheel brake sets, new glow plugs. All the switches, lights, and gauges work. New seats. It easily starts. This truck needs nothing and is ready to drive. It has been in the very dry Spanish climate. Bodywork is straight and undamaged. Doors open and shut with a reassuring “thunk,” and the detailing as you walk around it is excellent throughout. The chassis and underbody are extremely clean and solid with zero rot.
The Land Rover diesel 4cyl engine is incredibly robust, and is getting in the mid 20’s MPG. The engine starts easily, and idles smoothly with no smoke. Steering is tight and gear change is excellent, and the brakes are strong and progressive. Everything works and the engine makes good power. This is one of the last Series III’s, Defenders began production 1984. As a result, it is the ultimate iteration of the Series III, incorporating all of the refinements deemed necessary through the end of the production run. At nights, the headlamps are bright, dash illumination functions fine, and you can use it just as any other vehicle. It is a fantastic example of a Series III 109, in a very appealing body style, that can be used and enjoyed daily in a variety of different configurations. Whether overlanding, using it as a family hauler, or to access remote fishing holes, or even as a surfing truck or beach runabout, off road in the mountains, etc. . this 109 can do it all.
