Vehicle description
1981 Lancia Beta Zagato Spider. Very unusual Italian car, unique in many ways. Too many projects and not enough time to have the car sitting. Car starts right up, runs great. Once warmed up it shifts well, but it is a little stiff when cold. I replaced one of the shift bushings and it made a big difference. She also has a new alternator and battery. The only issue that needs to be resolved is the power steering hose. It was leaking and I tried to patch it, but it is under so much pressure that is blows a hole and loses the fluid. I have a replacement hose, but I don"t have the time to replace it.
Paint was resprayed at some point and they painted the bumpers. Interior is in pretty good condition, although the leather is dry (see pics). Windows just quit working, not sure why. I have a very hard to find set of Lancia manuals and some other spares.These cars are only beginning to participate in the market that has taken Alfa and Fiat prices soaring. This is a good project.
