Just in time for summer! You"ll turn heads in this rare, fun to drive VW convertible.
FOR SALE: 1978 Volkswagen Super Beetle Cabriolet (78 VW Bug Convertible). It has deluxe trim and appears to be a "Champagne II edition" but with upgraded wheels. This is a beautiful partially-restored classic car. It was originally built in the Karmann factory in Germany. I worked on it on and off for over 10 years, and the hardest parts of the restoration are done. The body and frame had extensive professional work done to eliminate rust, and the engine was rebuilt. It runs beautifully, gets good gas mileage and just passed California smog.
There are a few dings and slight surface rust in the paint/chrome, most not visible from a few feet away. Top was rebuilt, mechanically fine, good headliner, but rear window separating from frame and eventually the window needs to be reinstalled.
