Vehicle description

Good condition. Currently registered in CA as non-operating. It does run, but needs some attention. We ran it last year, and it had a significant fuel leak. This will need fuel line repair/replace. You’ll need to bring this home on a trailer. Hasn’t been on the road in about three years. I’m selling this for my sister. Reason for selling is that her mechanic moved, and… it’s time to move on. Every spring, my sister would have her mechanic go over the vehicle to assure safe driving, etc. She spent a few hundred dollars every spring to keep it in good shape. Last time I drove it, I had to pump the brakes, so… the brake system needs work. Mileage is unknown. Salvage title, and the odometer wasn’t working when my sister bought it. Speedometer recently quit. Good news is that the gas gauge works :) Note: the mileage posted, 99,999, is ficticious. Actual mileage in unknown, but eBay needed a number. Safe to say there"s probably some bondo under that paint. Don"t be dissappointed if you find some. This has an auxiliary starter circuit, meaning there’s a wire from the starter solenoid to the battery under the back seat. If it doesn’t start with the key ignition, it fires right up with the jumper wire; something her mechanic added. The convertible top is complete. Small hole that needs some duct tape. See photo. The top was new when my sister got it, 15 years ago. She never used the top. She only drove it in warm, sunny weather. Clean looking. I’m not crawling under this thing to get pictures. Safe to assume this is a clean California vehicle. Look at the photos. Fuel injected! No carbs to calibrate :) NO WARRANTY, GUARANTEE, ETC. Be realistic. This is approaching 40 yrs old. Salvage title, so… someone put this together. Great for driving to the beach, which is what my sister used it for. Been to Santa Cruz many times :) Currently garaged, as it has been for most of the last 15 years. Final note. . This isn"t a show-quality creampuff. This is a fun, classic convertible. You"ll need a classic bug mechanic. If you aren"t one, or don"t know one, then buy something a lot newer. We have tried to be as honest as we can. Not trying to oversell anything.
