Vehicle description
This truck was made by Mitsubishi for Dodge, which they made a Plymouth variant of. Still have the original owners manual. The original 2.6L engine was run without oil and was ruined, so the current engine is a 2.0L from the base model. Anything that needs electricity to work is perfectly fine (Radio, blower, lights etc.) and the body is in great condition. Now there are the reasons why this truck is so cheap. The engine was driven without radiator fluid for about 15-20 miles, and of course, overheated. it may need a whole new engine completely, or it just needs a better mechanic than me. I did fix the warped head and installed a new head gasket, but I believe the timing cover gasket is also damaged, along with a few others. Also, I may have screwed up the timing a little when I took it apart, so that most likely needs to be fixed. I did take it all apart again and redo the timing, it did fire up and ran, but loads of smoke came out of the exhaust and it felt like it had little to no compression, so most likely, you need a new engine. Also, the steering is loose, and requires a few new parts, which should add up to around $200 (you may be able to salvage the parts as well). Now the parts are pretty simple, so if you find the Dodge variant (much more likely) you may be able to salvage some parts too. I also have a mechanics guide that is pretty detailed. The bed has a tiny bit of rust as a result of rainwater, everything else is rust-free (except maybe a few spots where the paint chipped off. The truck is also running a spare right now, I do have the actual wheel along with a tire for it.
Just so you know, the Plymouth is located in Mimbres, NM. Unfortunately, I do not have a trailer, if you buy it, you tow it. I can use a tow bar to haul it about 30 miles to a much more commonly visited town (Silver City, NM) if that is needed.
